*Sales Estimator - Structural & Metal Fabrications*Job Title: Sales Estimator - Structural & Metal FabricationsIndustry Sector: CAD Drawings, Structural Metal, Mezzanine Floors, Retail Fit Out, Metal Fabrication and SteelworkBased: West Midlands head officeRemuneration: £38,000-£48,000 basic salary & full benefitsThe role of the Sales Estimator - Structural & Metal Fabrications will involve:* Estimating in support of bids and proposals to be prepared by our client’s sales team who provide the design, supply and installation of mezzanine floors* Responding to sales enquiries by producing accurate cost estimates of materials and labour required to fully execute project bid proposals* Preparation and issuing of formal quotations to customers* Liaise with technical department to ensure provision of designs/ BOMs (bill of materials) to allow timely return of quotations to customers’ deadlines* Prioritise own workload to ensure customers’ deadlines are met* Provide costing support to projects team on successful bids* Typical project – warehouse automated conveyor systems for on-line retailers* Project sizes from £500,000 up to £5m (typically £1m-£2m) * Occasional small £5,000-£10,00 bolt on projects such as adding a small additional platform* Occasional visits to customer sites (approx. once per month)The ideal applicant will be a Sales Estimator - Structural & Metal Fabrications with:* Ideally degree or HNC in engineering, manufacturing or surveying background* Proven track record in sales estimating and ability to read CAD drawings* Ability to manage all elements of estimating and quoting to ensure customer satisfaction* Broad experience of current manufacturing methods, particularly metal fabrications* Our client is open to many construction backgrounds including; metal fabrication, structural metal, mezzanines, cladding, flashings, stainless steel etc.* Business acumen with design head* Attention to detail* Appreciation of the theoretical vs. the practically possible (advise clients if timescales are not realistic for proper quotes)* Self driven, results orientated with ability to multi task* Robust, positive outlook and team player (able to cope well under pressure)* Mental agility, enthusiastic and articulateThe Company:* Est. 40 years+* Circa 50 employees* £16m turnover* Fantastic engineering and manufacturing reputation If your experience matches the requirements above please do not hesitate to contact Mitchell Maguire, simply apply by forwarding us a copy of  your CV.
