This is a vital role for a well established and growing business. You will ensure all maintenance and vehicle repairs on commercial vehicles are carried out to the highest standard, in line with legislative requirement. Managing a large workshop of HGV and trailers.As Workshop Manager your duties will include: * Managing a team of 8 mechanics and fabricators, allocating and distributing work throughout the team. * Ensuring that the garage team carry out quality services and repairs on vehicles, trailers and skips. * Ensuring work on all defects and servicing is prioritised and scheduled. Ordering parts, spares and equipment * Liaising with suppliers to get the best deals on parts. * Assessing workshop productivity and ensuring tasks are being carried out efficiently. * Keeping up to date records on vehicles, including inspection records, defect notes and other related documentation. * Ensuring health and safety measures are adhered to and tasks are carried out safely.Key skills and experience needed to become our Workshop Manager: * You must be organised and able to prioritise workloads. * Have good written and verbal communication skills. * You must have some supervisory experience.You must have some HGV mechanical knowledge and experience
