VANRATH are delighted to be assisting a well-known Public Sector client in their search for a business critical vehicle technician to carry out essential maintenance for their fleet of vehicles. This post is initially for a minimum of 6 months with possibility of extension working full time hours with the opportunity for overtime.ResponsibilitiesTo be responsible for the inspection, servicing, modification, maintenance, and repair of the organisations vehicles and supporting equipment ensuring they are fully operational to manufacturers specifications including the completion of all associated documentation, both written and electronic so there is a 24 hour availability of the vehicles.The Ideal PersonPossess a certified level 2 trade qualification as depicted in the NQF in Vehicle Mechanic studies and have at least two years’ experience working in a trade role in their area of expertise.Can demonstrate: excellent record keeping of computerised repair and inspection data;excellent written & verbal communication skillsa strong customer focus.Competent in the use of Windows and other Microsoft applications.Competent in the use of a Management Information System (MIS) for record keeping on repair dataPossess a current C Class driving licence.RemunerationFull time working hours starting at £12.86 per hour plus opportunity for overtime paid at 1.5x and 2x hourly rate, immediate start, on-site parking, holiday pay and a list of excellent discount benefits.
