DescriptionThe key responsibilities for the successful Transport & Logistics Specialist will include:Coordinate all logistics details of delivering shipments between Warehouses and key Export customers.To provide timely and accurate export documentation and submission to the HRMC systems.Provide Logistics support for all departments activates by coordinating all internal stock movements.Daily management and coordination of shipments. Track and trace all shipments.Maintain a delivery schedule and communicate to all relevant departments. (inbound and outbound shipments.)Determines safe and most efficient routing and method of transportation.Develop and maintain carrier performance, domestic freight claim and vendor payment programs.Work with cross-functional partners across Sales and Operations to communicate any changes to production deadlines and transportation delays.Liaising with purchasing department for rate negotiation.Ensure effective coordination, regular communication with the other departments by providing advice and mentoring.ProfileThe successful Transport & Logistics Specialist will have the following attributes:Knowledge of transport and logistics processes.Computer literate.Ability to quickly build credibility and relationships with key personnel.Good communication skills, both written and verbal.You must be able to efficiently solve problems relating to sales, finance and transportation of goods in locations both national and overseas.Must be able to work as part of a team in a fast paced and pressured environment, communicating effectively with both colleagues and clients and following verbal and written instructions.Excel experience.Experience within an international shipping and stock management.Live within commutable distance of Luton.
