Training Manager

The Role: The role is responsible for training & competency assurance across all departments, safety, operations, maintenance, engineering & projects.Apply below after reading through all the details and supporting information regarding this job opportunity.To manage the design and strategy of our competency assurance programme.Key Responsibilities Manage the Competency Assurance Process: o Establish in-house training products that are current, accurate and quality assured.o Implement training record audits to ensure compliance with UK and Corporate standards.o Provide, monitor & drive improvements against appropriate KPI's.o Ensure effective administration processes are in place to support training documentation.o Manage the site Trade / Operator apprenticeships and Graduate placement programmes.o Verify COP staff hold relevant DVLA driving licences and audit contractors to ensure compliance.o Manage driver competency through control of driver permits.o Responsible for coordinating the People / Organisation Management of Change (MOC) process.o Establish strategic long-term planning for the Competency Assurance function.Lead the Human Performance requirements: o Provide support and direction to Managers and Supervision with regards to 'Human Performance'.o Lead supervisor through the process for performance improvement plans for their reports.o Support individuals who are on performance improvement plans.Financial / Contract and Personnel Management: o Determine, identify, develop and manage the department budget.o Recruit and develop professional staff, in order to ensure availability of high-quality workforce.o Coach, support and mentor team members / peers.Competency Requirements Educated to a Degree level- Desirable.Training and Development and/or Management NVQ or relevant certification- Essential Human Factors, Human Performance understanding- Essential Similar working experience in the oil & gas industry or other regulated industry- Desirable.Strong understanding of oil & gas storage and processes- Desirable.Experience of petrochemical trade / process operations and technical roles- Essential.About Fircroft: Fircroft has been placing people in specialist technical industries for over 50 years, focusing on mid to senior level engineers for contract and permanent roles worldwide.By applying for this job you give consent for Fircroft to contact you, via email & telephone, to discuss your application along with future positions and Fircroft's services.Fircroft is registered as a Data Controller with the Information Commissioner as required under the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679.Fircroft will only process your personal data for the specific purposes of managing your application.
