Summary of RoleTo support Willis Re business units in the coordination, preparation, translation and technical review of all Reinsurance contracts. Translation will be Spanish/English.This role is primarily a Contract Drafting and Translation role handling all types of Reinsurance Contracts and documentation. You will liaise with a wide variety of people; the Contracts Team, Subject Experts, the Sales Team, Service Team as required in London and in our Overseas offices.There is scope for technical development and learning, continuous training and other opportunities.Depending on progression and skills, there may be opportunities to assist the Sales Teams with translations or interpreting depending on a Clients’ or Reinsurers’ needs. The Role Provide full or summary translations as required, of documentation applicable to our business including formal contractual wordings, technical/claims reports, client sensitive material, business presentations and similar from Spanish into English and English into SpanishProofreading and review of documentsProvide Spanish language conversational support to team on requestAll translations to be made in accordance with the Group Translation Policy including adding the group translation disclaimer for translationsPreparation of new and renewal reinsurance contracts, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements, guidelines and recommending areas for improvementDeliver contract advice and guidance to clients and/or broking teamsProvide and review contract support to tender presentationsEnsure all contracts comply as far as possible with London Market Reform guidelines and comply fully with the Contract Certainty Code of PracticeKeep up to date with the latest market developments, clauses and competitor contracts ensuring latest guidance is communicated to all relevant parties and the Central Repository or Clause Library updated if necessaryDevelop, manage and maintain the Central Knowledge Repository and Clause LibraryResolution of contract related queries from clients and reinsurersMaintain templates as per agreed governance processProvide support and guidance to Willis Re overseas officesAdhere to standardised Group policies and procedures, including our Client Excellence Model (CEM) and other regulatory requirementsParticipate in post placement reviews in conjunction with sales teams. The Requirements BA in Translation and Interpreting Degree or similar.Insurance, Reinsurance, Legal or Contract drafting experience would be desirable, but not essential.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically; WORD, OUTLOOK, EXCEL.  Ability to meet challenges and a desire to finish the tasks in a timely fashion. Seize opportunities as they arise to improve your own knowledge and understanding. A flexible approach to cope with changes of work as needed.Demonstrate that you can work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to complete formal documents to a high translation or technical standard.Demonstrate that you have the knowledge skills to research terminology to enable precise translations and to resolve ambiguities. Training will be given on Insurance Industry terminology and help is available from Subject Experts, as necessary.Ablility to write clearly, formally and succinctly in a variety of business communication settings and styles, ensuring documents are clear, professional and complete.Strong ability to prioritise and use time effectively and efficiently, across a broad range of activities, as required Equal opportunity employer
