Technical Buyer – Classic Parts

Our tier one automotive client have a long term contact based in West Midlands for a Technical Buyer – Classic Parts.There is a high level of internal and external demand across a number of sales channels, all looking for genuine Classic parts and accessory product offers. To fulfil this demand Classic must develop, source and sell a range of products that are commercially profitable. Our vehicles continually set the benchmark for luxury, innovation, and performance thanks to our unrivalled commitment to infinite detail & authenticity. In the role of Technical Buyer you will join the Classic Purchasing team, having strategic and transactional responsibility for new part sourcing. You will source and manage parts for Classic programmes and the aftermarket.As a successful candidate, you must be able to demonstrate a consistent level of skill and ability for the following capabilities: * The ability to adopt and adhere to new processes & systems quickly. * Project and data management and process improvement skills. * Excellent excel skills & experience of SAP. * Experience of parts sourcing/production buying and best fit supplier selection process (QCDS). * Ability to understand technical drawings and communicate at a technical level with suppliers/stakeholder (beneficial). * Evidence of delivering multiple concurrent complex projects at speed, effectively managing project risk and mitigation. * Supply chain knowledge (beneficial). * Supplier relationship & performance management. * Experience of working in a low-volume or prototype manufacturing environment (beneficial).You will be working within the Classic Purchasing Team collaborating closely with; MP&L, the programme team, STA site engineering, Product Specialists, Engineering and Operations supporting aftermarket new part introduction and Classic production part sourcing.If you are interested in this role and have the skills and experience required Apply Now!We will process your CV and personal information to assess your suitability for the role.
