Support Worker

Job Title: Support Worker Job Type: Full Time, Permanent Location: Knottingley Salary: £8.82 per hour Do you enjoy providing person-centred care that goes above and beyond and leave you with a feeling that you made a difference at the end of the day? Would you like to support people with learning disabilities, mental health and challenging behaviours? If your answer is yes, our client is currently looking to expand their team of support workers in Knottingley. They are looking for support workers with a caring attitude and willingness to learn and work in a challenging, but rewarding environment. Main responsibilities: * Provide excellent care and support to people with learning disabilities, mental health, distressed behaviours and complex needs. * Assist with meals preparation and daily activities. * Provide support to family members and visitors. * Provide support with medication and finance management. * Work closely with other team members and management team. * A drive to meet shift requirements and reliability. * Progress into Key worker and Senior roles. * Continuous professional development is fundamental in this role and you will be actively participating in various training and up-skilling sessions. An NVQ/Diploma level 2 in Health and Social Care would be an advantage but is not essential as we can support you in achieving this. Similar experience is preferable, but above all you need to be kind, caring and ready to work as a team to make a difference and ensure that their service remains comfortable, happy, fulfilling and a safe place to live.
