*Qualifies under the 2010 Equality ActTurning Point Scotland North Lanarkshire.In North Lanarkshire, We are a Self Directed Support Service, We work with people who have a variety of needs, this may include physical and or learning disabilities, mental health conditions and personality disorders, acquired brain injuries, early onset dementia and people who may have complex support needs and forensic histories.Our service principal is to promote independence and choice and to work with the people we support to enable them to lead the life they choose.We will support people to access ordinary life experiences including education, employment and social activities as well as providing support to sustain and develop relationships and skills for everyday living including budgeting, personal care and domestic skills for the person to maintain their own home.The support we provide is always person centred, we also involve people who know the person well, and this may include family & friends, other professionals and staff members.Main duties and responsibilitiesSupport to people who use services - To:provide support and assistance to people who we support in accordance with their support plans and service aims.assist with initial and on-going assessments of people who we support.advise people who we support in accordance with guidance from senior colleagues or in accordance with the service aims.be a key worker as required.maintain professional confidentiality and boundaries at all times.support and assist people who we support in crisis situations, and/or manage physical risk or behaviour likely to cause incidents, in accordance with the support plan or service protocol.travel within the service area you are contracted for and supporting the travel and transportation of people who we support in accordance with their support plan (mobility, own car, service vehicles, public transport etc).have an understanding of the causes and effects of social exclusion as is relevant to the service and area in which you work.Please select the APPLY button to be redirected to our website.
