Site Services Engineer

The Site Services Engineer will be responsible for the overall performance of the Site Services on the Manufacturing facility.Learn more about the general tasks related to this opportunity below, as well as required skills.This will entail the planning and completion of Planned Maintenance activities, trouble shooting and fault finding to maximise uptime and ensure targets are met for availability and reliability, whilst ensuring Safety and Quality Compliance is achieved at all times.Client Details The client is a successful and fast-expanding FMCG manufacturer based in Skipton.They have grown rapidly in the past year and have plans in place for continued growth in future.Description The Site Services Engineer will be based in Skipton and be responsible for: Ensure that the relevant PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and contractor service inspections are conducted on time as dictated by the PM system and service contracts.Ensure that the necessary daily and weekly inspections and activities are conducted on all buildings, plant and equipment ensuring security and safety devices are operational.Items included are Weekly Meter readings, Water softener checks, perimeter inspection To ensure all statutory inspections are completed on time and all remedial work is logged and completed by the Site Services Department.Manage external contractors and issue work permits for site service activities and carry out active monitoring.In the absence of the Engineering Manager ensure that all contractor records are kept up to date, to include insurance and inductions.Work in conjunction with the Engineering Manager to ensure that the work order system is kept updated and all planned remedial work is controlled and completed in a timely manner.Identify best practise, implement improvements to ensure continuous improvement.Complete repairs and breakdowns in a timely manner and perform RCA's (Root Cause Analysis) for all breakdowns to ensure not only corrective actions are completed but preventative actions are put in place.Profile The successful Site Services Engineer will have: Engineering qualifications NVQ- HNC- HND or equivalent (electrical or mechanical) Minimum 5 years post qualifications experience in a similar role maintaining HVAC, Steam systems, Water Treatment and Compressors either in an FMCG or healthcare/pharmaceuticals environment.Job Offer The Site Services Engineer will be offered a competitive salary at an extremely stable and progressive FMCG business based in Skipton.
