Buro Happold's Waste and Logistics team have a common passion for solving the complex management of waste and materials movement in the built environment. We are looking for a Senior Waste Consultant to join the team in either a London or Edinburgh office. This Role Will Encompass: Taking a lead role in supporting or running waste related projects including include some or all of the following project outputs: operational waste management plans, site waste management plans, masterplan waste strategies, research projects, site audits, workshops and service design.Tackling waste, reducing resource use and facilitating better urban metabolism.Working with external architects and internal design teams to deliver waste solutions for clients. We Are Looking For: Previous knowledge on urban logistics / supply chain and/or building servicing is desirable.Leadership skills in challenging situations; and a proven ability to run projects successfully on time and on budget.Knowledge of working with architects and design teams, and demonstrable capability to maintain strong relationships both within and outside the company.Data analysis skills, including auditing, analysis and presenting complex data;Previous experience in working on planning applications and the planning process in the UK;Excellent demonstrable evidence in report writing. The Waste & Logistics team members have a diverse set of academic backgrounds including forestry, geography, civil engineering, environmental management and sustainability. We are unique in the waste sector, and the exposure the team has to urban planning encourages us to think radically about how materials are used and managed in cities.
