Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job DescriptionPAL Robotics is currently looking for Senior Mechanical Engineers who are passionate about robotics, iterative design, and prototyping. You will work on a team of engineers designing new  hardware prototypes and robotic products. If you are looking to work amongst colleagues who are collaborative, mission-driven, values-focused, and looking to have a positive impact on the world of robotics, come and join us!A brief portfolio of images with short descriptions of recent work is required via either web-link or PDF. ​Responsibilities: Collaborate with other engineers to dream up, design, and develop prototype robots to achieve design targetsDevelop new concepts and perform analysis on designs while considering constraints from multiple disciplines (electrical design, manufacturing, business needs)Create CAD models, drawings, and specifications for parts and assembliesSupport manufacturing and assembly activities Troubleshoot issues, determine root causes, design and implement corrective and preventative solutionsWork with multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multicultural, multi-disciplinary environmentQualificationsDesired skills:BSME and 5+ years of relevant experience (including MSME/PhD degrees with professional engineering experience)2+ years of experience in a professional and product driven environmentDevelopment of complex products through trade studies or system design and analysisAdvanced Solidworks user or equivalent, including finite element analysisExpertise in mechanism design, electro-mechanical actuators, sensorsTolerance analysis and strong understanding of GD&T;Expertise in additive manufacturing designFluent English (written and spoken)Nice to haves:Experience in robotic system designMetal, plastic and composite materials knowledgeTest stand development and validation testingSystem or topology optimizationPrevious experience dealing with providers and manufacturing workshopsTransitioning early designs to products Additional InformationJob conditionsThe team is located in Barcelona, Spain.The contract is for a permanent position.The candidate must have a valid work permit or be elligible to work in SpainFlexible working hours, perks.Start date: immediate Contact detailsIf you're interested, please apply using the link in this site, or submit your resume to recruit@ pal-robotics.com.Please specify the job code JOB-2021-005 and job name in the email subject file.All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
