We have a strong focus on company values and work hard as a team to create a great place to work.The Role – Senior Buyer:Operating as a diverse, proactive team, we undertake procurement from handover of a secured project until completion ensuring adherence to the Wildgoose procurement processes, strategy and procedure. Working strategically and operationally, day-to-day Senior Buyer duties include:Issuing the latest relevant information within buying enquiries to an approved listAnalysing quotes/responses in a detailed methodical mannerNegotiating with proposed subcontractors and supply chain companies for material and services packages; ensuring to deliver with full compliance the appropriate subcontractors, materials, services in line with the contract specification, construction drawings, procurement schedule and construction programmeLiaising with the Construction Team to incorporate their wish for any specific supply chain companies to receive enquiriesRegularly reviewing spend and price increases with our rebate supply chain partners to maximise the potential annual turnoverNegotiating and agreeing terms with suppliersRaising purchase ordersPerson Specification: Experience of subcontractor procurement, enquiry composition, negotiations and quote analysisExperience of material and service procurement, including recognition of prioritising urgent items, organised and accurate to arrange timely deliveryEducated to HNC level or have relevant/appropriate experienceExcellent communication skills ensuring self-proficient and team working ethosAble to work on multiple projects with deadlines and financial targets to achieveExperience of using the conquest system is desirableExperience of working for a medium to large main contractor is desirableA proactive and positive methodically minded individual We are an Equal Opportunity Employer
