Full Time – Preston Here at Baxi Heating UK, we have an excellent opportunity available for a Reliability Test Technician to join the team at our Preston site. The main purpose of this job is to undertake a variety of processes for product verification of parts, components and complete units including water heaters, cylinders and wall hung boilers. We are looking for someone who will undertake investigations to improve our products.  As a Reliability Test Technician, you will: Follow the QVT planning process for all product families to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Organise appliances and parts to be tested. Generate and maintain inspection documentation in accordance with the relevant Company Quality Assurance policy. Ensure processes are carried out in accordance with laid down SOP's within the Department and adhere to high quality standards/ Ensure that relevant Health and Safety regulations are adhered to at all times. Provide quality support for new product/process introductions/ Manage the planning & implementation of the testing process. Communicate technical information, briefings and progress reports to other departments. Define and execute tests to validate correct product behaviour. Investigate and isolate defects. Communicate effectively any issues to other departments/functions. Assist in other duties as required within area of competence. Knowledge, skills and experience required: Experience working in a similar role in the manufacturing and engineering sector. Comprehensive understanding of SHE policies and procedures. Experience of using Inspection Tools and Equipment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Extensive product knowledge to enable accurate fault diagnosis both in-house and field Basic six sigma principles – statistical process control etc. FFT and QVT experience Extensive product knowledge to enable accurate fault diagnosis both in-house and field Testing/inspection of components and finished products using a variety of processes and techniques in accordance Quality Assurance Instructions and or technical specifications / documents
