933837Range Communications Engineer - Secure CommsPermanent opportunityCompetitive Salary / Overtime and Re-location packageBased on the Isle of Uist, Outer Hebrides Our client, a partner of the Ministry of Defence based in the Outer Hebrides Islands is seeking enthusiastic, qualified candidates who would enjoy a life style change.Small community setting, island living and close to wildlife are some of the benefits a career move would offer.The successful candidate would need to satisfy SC level security clearance.About the role:Based from the Hebrides Range, we operate the site on behalf of the Ministry of Defence that today consists of a Deep Range for complex weapons trials and in-service firings and an Inner Range for ground-based air defence campaigns.Our team provides engineering and systems administration support to enable the conduct of Test, Evaluation and Training missions.The role involves the maintenance, repair and operation, of a broad range of equipment.What will I be doing?:We have a requirement for a Range Communications Engineer to undertake design, development, system integration, test and acceptance activities to support secure communication systems.You will be responsible for successfully applying current knowledge to the development of military-specific communications technologies in support of planned and future military communication installations to the MOD.What will I need?:The successful candidate will either be degree qualified (Engineering / Communications) or be able to demonstrate relevant work experience.You will have experience working with a variety of MOD communication systems, able to demonstrate where you have effectively contributed to the maintenance & development of systems.
