About The Role We are currently recruiting for Trainee Machine Operators at our Barton-Upon-Humber site to work on our weekend shift in our Quartz factory. The weekend shift covers Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 06:00 to 19:00. The pay for this role will be £10.40 p/h. Critical Purpose of Role: To work within a designated department in a position within the team as designated by the manager/supervisor. To follow high-specification kitchen designs to manufacture end products of the highest quality. Utilise a wide range of tools and machinery in order to effectively perform the role. Main Responsibilities: Learn how to interpret detailed technical drawings in order to produce end products of the highest standard Participate in the effective and safe control of a variety of woodworking machinery including CNC drills, edge banders and glue machines Ensure all daily departmental duties are completed in a timely and efficient manner Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organisation within the department Provide training and support to colleagues as required by your Area Manager Project a positive image of Wren Kitchens and the department at all times Undertake any other Warehouse duties as reasonably requested by the Manager or Supervisor Adhere to stated policies and procedures regarding health and safety in the workplace Adhere to procedures regarding the proper use and care of equipment and materials associated with the role Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge in order to effectively perform the role Meet allocated production targets in line with the department About You Desired Skills & Knowledge: Warehouse experience would be an advantage but not essential Organizational skills Time management Flexibility, commitment and punctuality Any experience in wood technology is welcomed and encouraged
