Apex Resources are currently looking for an Experienced Quantity Surveyor, ideally with a background in Construction – Main Contract.Duties would include: * Carry out standard commercial functions including estimating & tender submissions, on site measurement, compilation and submission of valuations/applications for payment and final account * Tender preparation, compilation of bills of quantities, carrying out complete take offs prior to formal tender submission to clients * Subcontractor tender enquiry compilation, presentation and control of subsequent tender receipts * Sub contract tender analysis * Monitoring and maintaining associated tender tracker reports * Liaise directly with procurement to gain supply chain betterment * Assist with the preparation of monthly cost v value reports * Preparation, compilation and submission of interim applications for payment and final accounts * Recognition, measurement and compilation of variation accounts aligned to applications for payment * Assist with the preparation of any claims associated with Delay & Disruption and/or compile applications for extension of time * Assist with the development of the commercial department and team * Liaising closely with our company's management team & directors on monitoring and improving on costs, progress & quality of works, whilst identifying areas of improved business process and performance of resources, any potential savings, cost overspends and wastage, to enhance profitability of the company * Liaising closely and directly with the client's management teams * Assist with the preparation & control of project budget * Assist with subcontractor procurement, and the management & processing of subcontract or applications, valuations and payments * Assist with the development costings/estimating tools & processes * Problem management/resolution * Monitoring & maintaining program Timescales * Assist site management & Operations team with recognising, identifying, tracking & recording events and activities associated with and consequential to: variations, additional works, design changes, extension of time, delay & disruption, acceleration and loss/expense linked to applications, measurement, quantification, timelines ect * Assist with QA controls, procedures and checks * You may also be asked, from time to time, to assist in the other general commercial duties associated with the businessIf interested, please submit your CV or call Marianne for more information on the number advertised
