The candidate:We are looking for an experienced individual with prior experience in implementing process and quality improvement. Ideally this person will demonstrate a strong working knowledge and have experience in implementing lean six sigma within an environment that might include production, fabrication, warehousing and pick and pack. You must have a good understanding of managing ISO 9001 quality systems within a multi-disciplined business. You will be tasked with developing our quality processes and working practices to ensure that product quality expectations are continually improved. As this is a temporary contract of 9-12 months you should have the character and level of experience to confidently hit the ground running. The role will require a strong character with excellent problem-solving skills and common sense in abundance. You must be a team player, yet happy to work on your own initiative. You will need to demonstrate the following characteristics; An accurate and flexible approach to all matters.Good administration and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.A consultative approach to implementing change.Confidence, honesty, integrity and flexibility.A strong communicator. And the following priorities; A total focus on Quality, Cost and Delivery.Researching new technologies and alternative methods of efficiency.Identify and resolve issues and implement continuous improvement activities.Improve on our quality assurance functions for product design, testing, verification, planning and reporting.And Skills; Quality Engineering experience within an engineering or manufacturing / production environment.Production and Planning Management experience. Understanding of Stock Management Systems.Management of inspection activities for goods inwards and final product release.Practical experience working with and implementing ISO9001:2015 policies.Internal auditing experience.Able to read and understand engineering drawings.Any previous knowledge of Sage 200 would be advantageous but not required.This is an on-site role and the candidate will be expected to work at our head office in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham.
