QC Scientific Officer - Vaccine Production

We are pioneering solutions that are driven by client needs.The QC Scientific Officer is responsible for the performing routine laboratory procedures, transfer of methodology and project work within the department at a local and international level. This is an exciting opportunity to join a new team within a sizeable QC (quality control) function, performing testing to support the COVID-19 vaccine production.Responsibilities:To perform quality control analytical testing under cGMP conditions.To perform stability and in-process testing for product throughout life cycle.To prepare technical documentation including but not limited to analytical write-ups, standard operating procedures, specifications, investigations and reports.To review analytical and laboratory data within the Department for accuracy, completeness and compliance with documented procedures.To perform planned preventative maintenance and performance calibrations on equipment.To assist in the transfer/validation of laboratory procedures To maintain own training records and support and train other team members as required.To participate in continuous improvement activities.Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:Degree in a Scientific subject (Biological Science preferred), or equivalent.Experience in using activity and potency methods; demonstrated experience of method transfer or validation of activity / binding.Commercial experience of analytical techniques, including HPLC, pH, Ribogreen RNA assay, Osmometry.Ability to work to critical deadlines, flexibility to work shift patterns as required.Effective communication skills at all internal and external levels.Excellent attention to detail.Excellent organisational skillsAt Thermo Fisher Scientific, each one of our 70,000 extraordinary minds has a unique story to tell.
