Our client is a major Building and Civil Engineering Contractor operating throughout the UKDue to an exciting award, they now have a requirement for a Project Manager from a main construction contractor background to get involved in a recently awarded £multi-million construction/extension project in the Oxfordshire areaExperience of project managing values of £5 million to £50 millionSignificant experience of major construction and refurbishment projectsIn order to be considered you will have significant experience as a the lead project manager in delivering the full build on £ multi-million commercial, healthcare, science and educational projects or similar.Prospects are fantastic and the starting salary is very competitive.The RoleReporting directly to the Operations DirectorOverseeing projects from start to finishProject planning, budgeting and identification of resources requiredBuilding teams, developing goals and objectives and assigning responsibilitiesMonitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular progress meetings with the stakeholdersEnsure projects documents are in orderCo-ordinate all parties involved in the projectTo maintain a high standard of health and safety on site and within the companies health and safety policyTo control all site activities and deal with any site problems or queriesTo manage project within budget and on timeTo maintain a high standard of finish on the projectThe successful candidate will haveProven experience in a similar role in a main build contractor environmentAbility to demonstrate a track record of experience in dealing with clients at a senior levelSignificant post qualification experience of project management and/or contract administration of building works of all sizes, including fit out and refurbishment, and covering both traditional and design and build procurementDemonstrate experience in working to agreed targets within a commercial environmentAlready experienced as a Project Manager you will have a relevant industry qualification (HND/HNC/BEng) or equivalent). You will have a hands on approach to the commercial and planning aspects of the project and you will have extensive construction/build project management experience
