CastlefordTemporaryGuidant Global are working with a leading luxury British fashion house who are looking for Production Operatives to work night shifts at their manufacturing office in Castleford, West Yorkshire.As a Production Operative working night shifts, you'll be able to put both your sewing and production skills to use to create high-quality luxury garments and play a crucial part in keeping the day-to-day operations moving. The use of sewing machinery and production of garments (excluding creating designs) will play a large part in your role and each Production Operative is given a dedicated area of focus, such as machining, hand sewing or pressing.This is a fantastic opportunity especially if you're looking to gain experience under a world-renowned British fashion house.What your responsibilities are as a Production Operative Work closely with the production team to keep the production line runningAdhere to quality procedures following quality guidelinesEnsure continuous production is maintainedKeep your work area tidy and maintain good housekeepingOperate equipment and machinery in a responsible manner, in line with the Health and Safety PolicyWhat we're looking forAn ability to follow instruction and monitor work practices to ensure that products are made to agreed specificationsDemonstrable experience working across a range of machine typesExperience on industrial machines and experience in a manufacturing environmentPrevious demonstrable knowledge in showcasing what garments/textiles you have worked on. i.e. made full garments end-to-end, or worked on parts in an assembly line style as a teamPrevious demonstrable knowledge of sewing techniques (i.e. pockets, collars, etc.)A strong work ethicA good level of English Please note there are various night shift patterns available - please speak to our team to learn more.Guidant is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
