JOB- Production & Costings Engineer LOCATION- Hampshire TERM- Permanent SALARY- £27,000-£35,000 plus other benefits My client is looking for a Production & Costings Engineer to join their business on a permanent basis in the Hampshire area. The ideal candidate will come from an Electronics background with costing experience in a Manufacturing environmentThe Production Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:Electronics, contract manufacturing or cable assembly background beneficialExperience of costing in a manufacturing environmentAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsGood negotiation skillsBe able to read & interpret technical engineering drawingsExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenCompetent in problem solving, planning and decision makingAbility to work under pressureThe Production Engineer role will involve:Creating/ updating work instructions, process sheets,Providing technical support where neededWork with sales and business managers to maximise opportunitiesCreating BOMs, drawings and costings for variety of customersProvide support to purchasing (daily & strategic)Processing ECR’s and producing corrective actions, participating in change request reviewsResponsible for updating MRP system and maintenance of BOMS.If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation
