Job Duties:Bank staff are required by pre-schools to cover for their permanent or part time staff. Employment is on a casual zero-hours basis and you will be contacted directly when there is work available.In this role you must:Be aware of COVID-19 policies, maintain a sanitary environment and ensure that equipment is clean and safe for use and regularly checked as recommended in the DHSSPS guidelines. Ensure that the main play areas are appropriately laid out.Complete risk assessments. Support the leader of the setting and work as part of a team.Supervise children's playtime.Ensure the welfare and safety of children in the setting is promoted.Engage children in learning and play Communicate with parents/carers.Implement all of the pre-school policies and procedures that are in place.Qualifications / Experience:Essential Criteria:NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Children's Care and Development or equivalent.Recent paid experience within a pre-school setting within the last 6 months - a year.Ability to communicate effectively.Knowledge of current legislation/policies that are relevant to the early years setting.Commitment to equal opportunities and have an understanding of equality and diversity issues.Knowledge of pre-school curriculum.Ability to work as part of a team.Play skills.Friendly, caring, helpful, and open-minded. Understanding of child development and the importance of parental involvement.Desirable:First Aid.Experience of working with children with additional needs.
