Plumbing TechnicianCollege location: East Surrey College (Redhill)Salary: Circa £21,000 (Subject to qualifications, skills and experience)Hours: Full time (37 hours/week)We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Plumbing Technician to join our Construction department.This post would suit an individual who has achieved their own plumbing qualifications or who has a plumbing background themselves and understands the basic principles. Candidates will be enthusiastic, self-motivated with excellent communication skills, and with a committed approach to your work you will maintain a high quality learning environment for our learners.Based in the Construction area of our Technology department this exciting post will involve; supporting students in their learning of practical skills in the Plumbing workshops, supervising and maintaining workshops ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations. You will also be responsible for ordering stock, maintaining a stock of consumables and preparing materials for student activities as well as the cleaning and maintenance of the equipment.The successful candidate must have: * A minimum of a Level 2 vocational qualification in Plumbing or a related subject * Knowledge/industry experience of Plumbing * Experience of working with young people * Full First Aid Qualification (or willing to obtain)If this sounds like you and you will enjoy working in a forward thinking, friendly, fast paced, changing environment with state of the art facilities, we would love to hear from you.
