Plumbing and heating technician

Job Description The key responsibilities for this role will be, but not limiting to; To prioritise own workload and tasks, taking into account where the problem is, the nature of the problem, the number of people affected and the usage of the building.To record resolutions and feedback to problems to work instructions, complete time sheets, service records and other work related paperwork in priority order.To respond to individual job requests via the job notification system, phone and Radio, including emergency requests. Ensuring each job is seen through to completion , including the arranging if access as required, ordering and chasing materials, liaison with customers and continuous updating of the job status via the tablet. Types of work may include but not be limited to : Unblocking drains including toilets and urinals, which may involve taking apart and cleaning, reporting unsolvable problems to specialist contractors;Replacing fixtures and fittings (taps, sinks, urinals, waste pipes etc.)Repairing and replacing of showers, shower heads, cubicles, trays, baths, sinks etc.Fixing leaks.Installing washing machines and dishwashers.Repair / assist with replacement heating systems and associated equipment Repairing compressed air systems and associated equipmentChanging drive belts and bearings on AH Units and other equipment.Investigate and diagnosing problems and suggest courses of action.Attending to Emergencies as requiredProvide support to the Energy section to promote a proactive culture towards energy savings and suggestions of ways to improve energy savings The Successful Applicant The idea candidate will have;Completion of a recognised apprenticeship or training programme to NVQ3/ City and Guilds Advanced Standard or equivalent in HVAC / plumbing.Proven practical experience of HVAC / plumbing within a similar environment.Experience and demonstration of dealing with high volume of reactive calls and dealing with them in an efficient and effective manner.Experience of managing own workload and managing, prioritisation and customer satisfactionFull, clean driving licence What's on Offer Competitive package
