PLUMBING HEATING ENGINEERS.This is on a sub contracting basis. You can have as many or as little jobs as you like.As an ASHP installer you will be expected to have in depth knowledge of all domestic heating systems. Covering design, how they work, how to install and how to fault find.The system can be specified to work in one of two ways:1. Replacement of the existing heating source and retrofitting to the existing heating system.2. Utilising a bivalent system, where the ASHP will work as the primary heat source and the secondary (normally gas or oil fired) for peak demands. * Inspect existing system and familiarise yourself with the system. * Drain the existing system ready to work on. * You will install the ASHP externally at a pre-determined location, to a suitable base or mounting system. * Identify routes for system pipe work and where best to make on to the existing system. * Make allowance for a condensate drain, either to soak away or external drain gulley. * Core drill through the wall to the pre-identified location to make on to the existing system. * Install flow and return pipe work from external unit to the existing system internally (pipe work to be sleeved and protected when passing through the building fabric). * Install any pre-determined controls as specified by the manufacturer and system designer (Roomstats, valves, heat meter, etc.). * Fill the system (some manufacturers require the system to be filled with glycol) and test newly installed pipe and fittings for leaks. * Insulate all external pipe work. * Carry out first start up and commissioning procedure as per manufacturer’s guidelines. * Handover with the customer and give user demonstration. * This is a self employed role.Benefits of this roll include: * The ability to further your career within the Renewable Energy Sector. * Job security along with great job satisfaction with an ethical and fast-growing company. * Excellent team working environmentGUARANTEED WORK FOR THE NEXT 18 MONTHS - 2 YEARSRequirements of Role * Have a Full Driving Licence * Have own Van and Insurance * All jobs will be inspected by our quality assurance inspector as we operate with to Napit and MCS standards.Experience: Qualifications:Plumbing and Heating Engineer: * CCN1, CENWAT1, HTR1 as a minimum * Qualified plumbing heating engineer (NVQ or equivalent). * Trained certificates installing AIR SOURCE HEAT PUMPS (training will be provided if you don’t have certificate installing ASHP) * Hot Water Unvented qualifications and experience necessary. * Physically fit to be able to carry out all the duties required for the role. * Manufactured approved by Supplier (training will be provided by the manufacture)Job Types: Full-time and part-time roles availableRole: Plumbing And Heating Engineer Job Type: ContractLocation: Slough, Berkshire, Apply for this job now.
