Band 4 - Plaster TechnicianChippenham Minor Injuries Unit15 Hours per Week, 12 Month Fixed Term Contract An opportunity has arisen for a Plaster Technician to join our team at Chippenham Hospital.This is a busy department and we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the team to provide our patients with a high quality and caring service. The post holder will help to deliver casting services and support the fracture clinics at Wiltshire health and Care.Key duties include:• Application of a range of casts• Removal of casts • Providing advice to patients relating to the care of cast• Measuring and providing walking aids and splints• Fitting and supply of aircast bootsYou will also work as part of the MIU team.An up to date British Casting Certificate and registration with the BOA are essential. Ideally you will have at least one year post qualifying experience. You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work within a team and on your own initiative. The post will involve cross site working and the ability to travel to different sites within the Trust is essential.
