Parts Assistant (Maintenance)

Job DescriptionExciting opportunity for an organised individual to assist the Parts Manager with the daily operation of the Maintenance stores department.The successful candidate will receive a great work life balance with working hours for this role being Monday to Friday, 07:00am - 4.00pm.After six months, in addition to the enhanced benefits package on offer, they will also receive a Company van. You will ensure the correct items are available to enable all factory maintenance to be completed as planned.This involves learning all the key components the factories require and ensuring items are purchased and stored in accordance with company procedures. About The RoleData entry of all new stock onto ERP system;Handling all items within the store as per company procedurePurchasing items as required and in line with factory maintenance plans - Training will be provided.Fully understand the annual maintenance plans for each factory and the role Stores must play to support this – Training to be provided.Ensuring optimum level of spare parts for each specific factory based on specific factory requirements.Use the stock control system to monitor stocks of spare parts.Controlling receipts and issuing of materialsDirect involvement with the overall Maintenance Team including direct line manager and maintenance fitters.Reading and understanding technical drawings to order spare parts.Complete all purchases as per company procedures.Clearing invoices as per close-down procedureCompleting stock checks in line with accounting proceduresSkills NeededImprovement, Technical, Relationship, ComplianceAbout The CompanyTobermore began life as a humble sand and gravel business started by the Henderson family in 1942.We then diversified into concrete products, which were sold to the local community in the 1950s.
