On-site Cleaning Supervisor

Working Hours: 10am to 6pm Reports to: On-site Client Facilities Manager ServiceMaster Client Manager This role involves undertaking and supervising the cleaning activities both undertaken during the day and evening to ensure that: · External grounds are maintained (including seasonal activities such as grass cutting, salt spreading) weeding, litter picking, sweeping; · Plant, warehouse and shop floor are kept swept, free of dust, bottle and plastic balers are emptied regularly; · Toilets, reception area and canteens are kept clean · Evening cleaning staff undertake cleaning duties to ensure that the office environment is clean and sanitised, together with toilets canteen etc; · Ordering of PPE, and other supplies are undertaken efficiently; · Organising laundry and other ad-hoc tasks, Overall Purpose of the role To ensure that client needs are met through daily work planning, supporting the cleaning team, reviewing quality and standards and undertaking own tasks effectively and efficiently; To monitor client satisfaction and to put in place any actions to maintain and build on client satisfaction; To keep ServiceMaster management abreast of any issues so that support can be provided Key responsibilities Main responsibilities Service Delivery · Ensuring that the task schedule as agreed with the client is carried out to the frequency and quality agreed at the client site efficiently and effectively; · To undertake own individual assigned tasks to agreed quality standards; · To ensure cleaning staff are trained in the methods and products used; (supported by ServiceMaster operations manager); · Reporting any problems to the ServiceMaster Operations Manager or Head office so they can be resolved in a timely manner;.If you think you're the right match for the following opportunity, apply after reading the complete description.· Liaising and communicating with the facilities manager at the client site and ensuring client needs are met.Cleaning Equipment Materials and Client Supplies · To Ensure that all necessary equipment used in the cleaning process is available and working safely; · To Ensure that all materials and equipment/supplies have been requested in advance and to ensure that stock control for the site is maintained; · Ensuring all equipment and cleaning materials are stored safely and locked away after the cleaning has been completed.Supervising and Supporting staff/Working Environment · To ensure that all staff are supported to perform their duties to the standards of cleanliness required and to the task schedule; that they have had the appropriate training and been provided with the necessary equipment to undertake their work; · To ensure that staff wear ServiceMaster tabards/t-shirts; that they follow our standards and behaviour whilst on duty, are courteous both to colleagues and clients and meet ServiceMaster values (as outlined in the staff handbook); · To ensure that staff follow procedures including the use of Eazitracker; absence reporting etc; · To treat our cleaning staff with respect and in accordance with Servicemaster values and legislation; · To re-align cleaning tasks if needed in the circumstances of unexpected absences and to notify head office so that additional support can be given if required; · In conjunction and co-operation with the facilities manager and ServiceMaster Head office supervisors are responsible for ensuring that the work environment is safe and appropriate for the work to be completed and to report any concerns to ServiceMaster SE Head office so that they can be rectified.Client Liaison · To liaise with clients as agreed to support service delivery · To ensure professional behaviour at all times when liaising with client Health and Safety : · To ensure that risk assessments are adhered to and to report any variations to the operations manager; · Ensuring that all products and equipment and stored safely; that only agreed ServiceMaster products are used and that COSHH sheets are visible on-site; · To Ensure that staff follow safety protocols and notifying the operations manager/head office of any variations or concerns.Personal Characteristics To be successful in this role: Prior experience of managing a team with varied workloads in a similar working environment in a cleaning environment and of successfully managing a team; The ability to implement and adhere to standards and procedures; Health and Safety training/ experience Good Interpersonal skills; A client first approach to work Reliable and trustworthy Good written and verbal English language Clear DBS check required: Excellent references from at least two employers.
