The department is responsible in engineering the wind turbine component required for offshore installation, providing the methods, transportation aids and installation tools and manpower, whilst holding responsibility of all activities and operations related to offshore installation of the Wind Turbine Generator.Job DescriptionRole Summary/Purpose:Offshore Lifting ExperienceLifting of Heavy Offshore structures (Jackets, WTG, Topsides or similar)Awareness of Installation vessel positioning and offshore weather characteristicsThe Doggerbank projects include the provision of circa 200 wind turbines Haliade-X to be installed offshore UK from 2023. The candidate will join project team in the execution of both on and offshore activities related to preload out and installation operations.Please drop in to the link below to find more details on DoggerbankReporting to the installation and M&E package manager the candidate will be responsible to prepare all RAMS, lift plans and conduct lifting assessment for load-out of the components at quay side and offshore at turbine location.Essential ResponsibilitiesIssue and revise all contractual deliverables including Risk Assessment Method Statement (RAMS), lifting plans at port and turbine locations and rigging design reportSubmit and revise documentation based on customer and Marine Warranty Surveyor commentsInterface with installation vessel contractor to define best deck layout to ensure safe and efficient heavy lift operationInterface with Marshalling harbor engineer to define best tower foundation location to ensure load-out operationsLiaise with installation engineering office to integrate tools and components into rigging drawing arrangementsConduct any 3D assessment to prevent clashes between GE tools and components and environment at the marshalling harbor and onboard the installation vesselIssue to Marshalling harbor team and installation team 2D drawings with project template describing step by step of load-out and installationSupport vessel operations during installation phaseWill hold the responsibility of appointed person for GE RenewablesQualifications/RequirementsCan demonstrate ability to plan complex lifting operationsExperienced in offshore heavy lift operations and method engineering in offshore wind sectorExperienced in offshore and lifting standards such DNV rules for marine operations and DNV-ST-N001 and BS 7121Good knowledge in CAD drawing creationGood knowledge in NX 3D softwareFluent in English both spoken and writtenGood knowledge of Microsoft OfficeDesired CharacteristicsOrganized and transparentGood communication skills, high flexibilityAble to work offshore as part of a teamConstruction Plant Competence lIcence (CPCS will be required, training given)#DBAdditional InformationRelocation Assistance Provided: No
