Nuclear Waste Management Consultants Due to recent framework contract awards and a wide variety of on-going consultancy contracts, we are seeking to recruit Consultants into our expanding team.We are looking for excellent scientists, engineers or mathematicians who have a good first or second degree and are interested in a challenging and varied career in the nuclear industry.  Ideally, you will be aware and have experience of a range of waste management, environmental and decommissioning challenges in the nuclear industry, but we also welcome applications from candidates who have no previous nuclear industry experience.  You should be flexible and will be asked to contribute to projects in a number of different areas, such as:optimisation studies;strategy development;decommissioning planning;innovation in waste management;specialist technical studies e.g. in relation to encapsulation and packaging;waste characterisation strategies;assessments and underpinning studies related to the disposal of radioactive waste;management and disposal of spent fuel;support in obtaining regulatory approval.Excellent communication skills are required, as is the ability to deliver high quality technical reports to tight deadlines.  There will be future opportunities to manage small projects and make an important contribution towards the development of our rapidly growing company. You will be ambitious, results driven and have excellent academic credentials. Candidates are expected to be self-motivated and have the skills to work effectively with other people. You would work from our office in Penrith or alternative locations might be possible for the right candidate. During the current Coronavirus pandemic, most of our staff are currently home working, which will be possible for all applicants until the pandemic working restrictions have lifted.Eden Nuclear and Environment Ltd. is an employee owned SME Consultancy Company, established in 2007.
