Job Title: MGL Plumbing Faculty Unit: Construction & Technology Hours: 35 hours per week/52.14 Weeks per Year Contract Status: Fixed Term until 31st March 2022 to cover Maternity leave. Salary: £24,681.00 - £34,363.00 per annum (Scale points HS27 – HS38) Closing Date: Thursday 8th April 2021 Date of interviews: To be confirmed   Calderdale College is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Main Grade Lecturer to provide a high quality education programme to students within the Construction & Technology environment. We are seeking to appoint an outstanding practitioner who has the ability to deliver inspirational teaching and learning in this field. The post holder must have strong leadership, management & organisational skills in addition to a proven teaching background. As a college, our priorities are that every student sat in a class knows why they are there at that very moment. They must have a goal in mind to achieve before dinner or the end of the day and they need to know how what they are learning will help them in the outside world. Everybody learns at a different pace, and some will have more skills than others will – so all we ask is that each student is being motivated to be the best they can be and making good progress. Classes should be purposeful, with everyone busy and on-task but fun and energetic too. We learn best when we are enjoying what we do! Which is why your personality, experiences and professionalism need to shine through as a role model – with you being the figure of inspiration that motivates our students to succeed. If you think that the way you help young people/apprentices become better at their jobs at work can translate into the classroom then we would love to hear from you. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  Appointments are subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
