Our European manufacturing facility in Coleraine is at the leading edge of technological change and will help you develop all of your skills in a challenging environment.We currently have an opportunity for a number of Mechanical Technicians to join our maintenance department for a period of up to one year as part of an increase in production demand.This position offers variety and a broad range of responsibilities including:· Fault-diagnosing, repair, maintenance and modification of automated assembly and production equipment· Carrying out planned maintenance on equipment· Identifying and carrying out improvements to equipment· Working as part of an existing multi-skilled team in a high tech environment.Essential criteria:· Recognised apprenticeship in a mechanical engineering discipline.· A minimum of 1 years post apprenticeship experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment.· Educated to ONC standard or equivalent, although relevant experience may be considered in lieu of academic achievement.· Demonstrate an aptitude for fault finding and problem solving on production type equipment· Ability to take general directions but work with minimal supervision.· Be prepared to work flexible shift patterns and provide overtime and holiday cover when required.If you would like to discuss this opportunity further or request an application pack please contact:HR Department, AVX Limited, 5 Hillmans Way, Ballycastle Road, COLERAINE, BT52 2DA.
