M&E Maintenance Officer

A public sector organisation with a vast estate have an immediate need for an M&E Building Services Engineer. Our client are one of the Northern Ireland’s largest employers who have been in operation across the province for c.50 years. Due to the size of this organisation and their continued growth they require a Building Services Maintenance Officer to assist their Estates Division immediately for an initially temporary period until the post is recruited permanently. This position is based in Belfast where the successful candidate will be expected to oversee and provide input on a range of minor works and maintenance projects across Northern Ireland. Your new role The successful person will be responsible for the Electrical, Mechanical and Health & Safety aspects of all Building Services through the client estate, ensuring that these essential services are maintained to the required standard to perform effectively and efficiently. The role includes design, management and maintenance of systems such as; air conditioning, BMS (Building Management Systems), escalators, lifts, CCTV, fire suppression, intruder alarms, heating & ventilation, electrical distribution and lighting, among many others across c.400+ buildings. The role will oversee the delivery of PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance), RM (Reactive Maintenance) and Minor New Works. This is a unique opportunity to join one of Northern Ireland’s largest organisations offering the chance to work along side an established and experienced estates department who develop and maintain a vast portfolio of buildings. What you'll need to succeed Possess a minimum of an HND in building services or similar discipline. A minimum of 3 years’ experience post-qualification working within facilities management or construction. Experience of designing building services and/or managing design teams. Experience of site supervision of maintenance work and minor projects. Experience of using CAM & CAD (Computer Aided Facilities Maintenance systems and Computer Aided Drawing. Possess an understanding of modern building services and systems. What you'll get in return Salary range is £35,000 - £39,000 pro rata. You will be paid weekly every Friday via BACS. 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Hybrid working pattern between home and a modern office with on site car parking.
