Marketing Capabilities and Technology Manager

Overview This role sits within the newly formed Marketing Planning, Operations and Performance team, which has been established to become a centre of excellence in marketing planning, measurement and reporting for British Gas (including Local Heroes, Dyno and Hive).Please read the following job description thoroughly to ensure you're the right fit for this role before applying.Location: Windsor SL4 4GD (with some working from home options) Package: Base salary up to 45k plus bonus, healthcare, 25 days annual leave, pension and share save options.Role Purpose Sitting within this new team, the purpose for the Marketing Capabilities and Technology Manager is to; Support the identification of new marketing and data capabilities and how these should be leveraged by British Gas to ensure performance/data driven marketing Support the identification of how British Gas could use new media technologies that should be developed and used within our Marketing plans e.g.Xaxis, Finecast Work with our agency partners to support the running of The Nucleus Academy; a training programme developed with our strategic agency partner What will you be doing? Reporting to the Senior Marketing Capabilities and Technology manager, this role will support key strategies to aid growth and retention for British Gas, utilising and identifying emerging technologies and capabilities to enable the wider marketing team to hit commercial KPI's Support the implementation and use of British Gas' data and insights platform to drive data led decisions within Marketing and Customer Experience.Undertake competitor and market reviews to understand the marketplace and new trends in marketing technologies and capabilities Support the identification of the capabilities that will be required for an effective marketing organisation Work across the team and with our agency partners to identify a full learning programme for the Nucleus Academy Identify and leverage new 1st and 3rd party data sources To be great in this role you will need: Experience in MarTech and Capabilities with a working knowledge of key emerging media opportunities (e.g.Cookie-less marketing, Xaxis and Finecast) The ability to demonstrate and communicate strategic thinking and vision to support the commercial goals of the business Capability to manage projects end to end, including managing multiple stakeholder relationships, both internal and with 3rd party suppliers Preferable experience within Marketing Capabilities and Technology, either gained agency or client side.Good analytical skills and a data-driven approach to Marketing.Behavioural Capabilities Empowers others Champions openness and inclusion Connective Mindset Informed and timely decision making Customer focus and obsession.
