Manufacturing Support Technician

Manufacturing Support TechnicianSRG are working with a global chemicals manufacturer to help them find a Manufacturing Support Technician to join their team.This is a great opportunity to secure a role which could lead to a permanent position.The Role:To work safely to meet and improve site targets for HSE and to be accountable for all aspects of HSE within an individual's area of responsibility.To operate computer and manually controlled plant for all stages of manufacture and their associated services.This involves monitoring and controlling multiple processes and operations simultaneously.Completion of batch records in an accurate and timely manner.Control and issue of safety clearance for maintenance.Scheduling and co-ordinating the operation of the plant to meet production targets.Carry out formal and informal monitoring of plant processes and equipment, initiating/carrying out corrective actions to maintain or improve standards.To carry out engineering maintenance works to reduce plant downtime and increase efficiency of operation.To create accurate / thorough logs and give / receive handovers on the process and plant activities / status during shift and at plant handover.Compliance with all policies and procedures.To actively contribute to all aspects of continuous improvement.To develop and then maintain as up to date, the competency and knowledge required for safe and efficient conduct in the role.To be an effective and flexible member of the plant work group contributing towards the achievement of departmental strategy.Requirements:Previous background in a chemical manufacturing environment would be highly beneficialExperience operating computer softwareUnderstanding of H+S regulationsChemical handling experience would be advantageousPrevious experience within the petrochemical industry would be beneficialPlease note this is a shift based role.
