Maintenance Technician (Multiskilled)Stafford - West Midlands£30k + good benefits package (Bonus/ Overtime / Pension / Holidays etc.)The CompanyWith a history in the UK of almost 100 years, and another 50 on top of that since the company was formed, my client manufactures a range of specialist interior products that get used everywhere from classrooms, factories, commercial properties and even shops and restaurants, so their reach is vast.Due to an enviable and sustainable order book, they are now looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Maintenance Technician (Multiskilled) to work within an established and enthusiastic team at their Stafford facility.This position involves working Earlies and Afternoons (No Nights), so please only apply if you are able to work 0600-1400 and 1400-2200 Monday to Friday on a rotating basisThe RoleWorking within an established team you will be: Responsible for planned and preventative maintenance on a range of industrial manufacturing equipmentProviding mechanical and electrical maintenance activities (including 415v AC & 24v DC)Carrying out fault finding and repair activities using engineering drawings and schematics (mechanical and electrical)Liaising with the shop floor and other departments to provide expertise on manufacturing issuesComplete all necessary recording and documenting of activities, parts used, root cause etc.Working with PLC based manufacturing equipmentHands on mechanical skills and the ability to mechanically repair things such as pipework, component replacement etc.Prioritise daily activities and respond swiftly to break downs and issues to avoid machine downtimeWorking within a Lean environment and constantly looking for way to improve The PersonIn order to be considered for this Maintenance Technician role you will need: Either Apprentice trained with extensive experience or time-served carrying relevant qualification for your craft (BTEC, City & Guilds or NVQ level)Experience of working within a Process or Manufacturing environmentProven ability to carry out PPM and TPM activitiesProven experience of fault-finding and establishing root causeProven electrical experience, including 415 AC and 24v DCExperience of working on PLCs and an ability to install modifications, components and processors Ideally you should carry: HNC level qualifications within a mechanical or electrical engineering discipline17th / 18th edition certificateSome form of PLC qualification and programming would be extremely useful (this is NOT a PLC programming role)HMI exposureA strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systemsSolid experience of conveyor drive systemsThose with workshop certificates and training will be of particular interest.
