Maintenance Engineer - Engineering site Plant Machinery

We are a busy Press Tool and Manufacturing facility based in Coventry looking for an experienced Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Engineer. Must be qualified with upto date certification.  Ideally you will have worked in a similar environment within an Engineering/Manufacturing company - mainly Presses, Trumpf Lasers, CNC Machines and ABB Robotics. This is a hands on role, servicing and upgrading machines in the workshop along with maintaining all Plant, Electricals and general Equipment and Machinery. MAINTENANCE ENGINEER - COVENTRY Overall Purpose To ensure that Coventry’s machines, lasers, presses and ancillary equipment are properly maintained, maximising the site’s overall equipment efficiency. To play a key role in the introduction of a system of Preventative Maintenance that will maximise output, reducing downtime and minimising company expenditure. To play a key role in ensuring the site is properly maintained and a safe environment for its workers. Reporting to the Head of Tooling Operations Responsibilities MAINTENANCE ENGINEER – COVENTRY The efficient planning of all machinery, laser and press maintenance. Attend to Machinery and/or Installation Breakdowns, assessing problem,   formulating  countermeasure and implementing fix whilst providing realistic time estimates to the team for planning purposes. Site maintenance. Assist in ensuring the site is a safe working environment. Assist in the introduction and installation of new machinery and equipment. Assist in Recruitment, train and mentoring of Maintenance Apprentices/Trainees Supervision and Control of the Maintenance Section. Prioritise workloads within the Maintenance Section by liaison with the Supervisory   Team. Recommend improvements to aid operational efficiency or safety. Assist the company achieve its KPI targets by maximising the overall efficiency and   effectiveness of Equipment. Supervision and liaison with outside subcontractors. Professional communication with and control of subcontractors, ensuring compliance   with H&S Policy. Assist the company in the elimination of waste and the reduction of electricity costs. Assist in continuous improvement activities throughout the business. Help drive and develop environmental and H&S processes and procedures within   Marrill, instilling a zero tolerance culture to non-compliance with H&S. Attend daily shift briefs to understand key issues and priorities for the week. Develop and maintain strong relationships with Gateshead operations (as well as   Coventry), Providing support where necessary Skills and Attributes Proven leadership and management skills, optimising team performance, prioritising  task and organising resources. Good understanding of costs and budgets First class communication and planning skills. Experience of Maintenance planning systems, excel and email. PLCs Qualifications and Experience Electrical biased HND or similar qualification. HV Electrical qualification. Experience of 5 axis CNC machines, lasers and presses Knowledge of H&S requirements. A track record of success and achievement within similar organisations Experience of fault finding on Electrical and Mechanical systems.
