Maintenance Assistant

In support of our core purpose of Working together to achieve the healthiest life possible for everyone in Ayrshire and Arran we are committed to a culture that is Caring Safe and Respectful.The post holder is required to work collaboratively in a safe, caring and respectful way.A vacancy has arisen in the North Sector for a maintenance assistant, to assist in the provision of a comprehensive multi-site installation, maintenance and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) service and to maximise the efficiency and quality of the mechanical, electrical and environmental services of NHS Ayrshire & Arran using resources available.You require to have previous working experience appropriate to the skills this post requires, experience in building experience within a hospital environment would be an advantage.You will also demonstrate a basic knowledge of workshop health and safety procedures, assistant other trades as required and assist higher grade craftsmen on new work and repairs.You should also have ability to work at height using ladders and scaffold.A driving licence is essential for this post.Hours 37.5  per week (8.00am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 1.30pm on Friday).Informal enquiries to Tim Wylde, Building Supervisor on Tel 01294 323283 or alternatively by email to Tim.Wylde@aapct.scot.nhs.uk
