Machine Operator

About The Role We are looking for experienced Machine Operators for our Howden Warehouse. The positions are full time, 40 hours per week on a rota basis from Monday to Saturday. Main responsibilities: Follow detailed technical drawings in order to produce end products of the highest standard Effectively and safely control a variety of woodworking machinery including CNC drills, edge banders and glue machines, and a variety of hand tools Ensure allocated production targets are met Participate in training and mentoring of Trainee Machine Operators Carry out rigorous quality checks to ensure high-quality standards are met at all times, reporting any quality issues to management and the QC team Set up the glue gun and able to flush out the glue system along with applying correct application of glue to MDF product, working to a high-quality standard following all H&S policies and procedures Capable of working a computer to operate coran machine formulas, ensuring stocks of all colour paints are pre-mixed and available for production demands Ability to operate machines and move and remove parts as required for cleaning processes Ensure all daily departmental duties are completed in a timely and efficient manner Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organisation within the department Project a positive image of Wren Kitchens and the department at all times. Undertake any other Warehouse duties as reasonably as requested by the Manager or Supervisor. Adhere to stated policies and procedures regarding health and safety in the workplace Adhere to procedures regarding the proper use and care of equipment and materials associated with the role Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge in order to effectively perform the role Work within a designated department in a position within the team as designated by the Manager / Supervisor Follow high-specification kitchen designs to manufacture end products of the highest quality Operate and utilise a wide range of woodworking machinery and tools in order to effectively perform the ro About You Desired skills & knowledge: Warehouse experience would be an advantage but not essential Organisational skills Time management Flexibility, commitment and punctuality Previous machine operating experience within a manufacturing environment Good knowledge of manufactured products Awareness of H&S and COSHH
