Library Administration & Finance Assistant(Learning Resource Centre)Hours: 28.5 hours per weekSalary: Scale 3 Points 12 - 14 (£18,570 - £19,546 pa FTE)Actual Salary £14,303 - £15,055 per annum)OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOBUnder the direction of the LRC Manager, the overall purpose of this role is to deliver excellent customer service to users of the service, including Shipley College staff, students and visitors.The Library Administration & Finance Assistant (Learning Resource Centre) will be responsible for:sourcing a hybrid of resources (including print resources, digital resources, and equipment); raising and processing external orders; dealing with financial transactions; resolving queries; following college’s budget-related policies and procedures; administration and supply of college-wide stationery.Additional responsibilities include assisting users with routine LRC procedures (issuing and returning items), and dealing with queries face-to-face, by call and/or by email. Duties also include managing user accounts, processing resources, and ensuring that a safe and effective learning environment is maintained within the LRC.Applicants should have experience in dealing with financial transactions, a high standard of ICT skills, excellent communication and customer service skills along with the ability to prioritise workload and a high attention to detail.Shipley College is an equal opportunities employer welcoming applications from all sections of the community.
