Lead Advanced Manufaturing Engineer

Job Description Summary:The candidate will be part the advanced manufacturing team to ensure design for manufacturing/assembly activities and the industrialization of the new offshore wind turbine HAL-X. With special focus on the definition, development and outsourcing activities of the tooling’s involved in complex and critical assembly operations.Responsibilities:Define and manage the technical development of critical tooling’s and equipment’s according assembly process, ensuring components quality and safety operations.Validate components compatibility with assembly operations from mechanical resistance and performance point of view (deep knowledge of CAE simulations is requested).Create design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment. Leads analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods.Follow up the manufacturing and commissioning activities to ensure on-time and on-quality execution. Support local teams to ensure knowledge transfer.Connects the dots across technologies and develop cross-technology solutions; works on cross-functional projects/teams to deliver technology solutions for the business. Communicates across the function in area of expertise.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing).Relevant experience in Production Process and Equipment, including CAE simulations, in an international environnement.Experience in Wind Offshore windturbine would be highly appreciated.Travel: Ability to travel internationally according to project needDesired Characteristics:Good oral and written communication skills; Fluent in English.Ability to influence others (Engineering, manufacturing) and lead small teams during specific project execution.Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
