They are based in the Solihull area of Birmingham and additionally have offices based across the United Kingdom. They specialise in providing world-wide transport solution where others fail. The business is market-leading in their approach and a highly regarded world-wide.DescriptionAs a Freight Co-ordinator (Automotive) you will work a regular day shift pattern, these will be structured across Monday through to Friday. The contract will initial be 6 months, hopefully moving onto a permanent role with the business. You and your colleagues will be the first point of contact for any shipment details such as pricing, customs, and live updates.Prepare freight & transport quotations, taking bookings and dealing with general customer enquiries in a professional and timely manner, in line with our company SLA'sSource, plan and monitor import & export consignments, assessing any risk to targeted deadlines, and providing alternative transport solutions as a contingency optionLiaise with transport & shipping suppliers in order to negotiate best possible ratesObtaining, checking and preparing import & export documentation to meet customs and packing specifications, and compliance with other countries regulations and fiscal regimesMaintain and develop strong relationships with current freight & shipping suppliers.ProfileThe successful Interim Freight Co-ordinator (Automotive) will report into the on-site UK Freight Manager. You will be actively commutable of Solihull in Birmingham and have the following skills and experience:3+ years' experience in global shipping and / or freight forwardingVast experience of import & export shipmentsProven calibre with freight pricing, monitoring or analysis.Available within a weeks' notice for a 6 month+ contractCommutable to SolihullJob Offer£25,000-£35,000Company bonus of up to £3,000 per annumRoles starting immediately
