HR Business Partner Cavendish Nuclear - Warrington £26.00 per hour / 37 hours per week 6 Month FTCAbout the role: Here at Babcock we are looking to hire a HR Business Partner to join our team. You will work alongside line managers to implement and embed the strategic HR agenda for the business area of responsibility, focused on long term strategic business aims and capability requirements. You will also provide HR expertise to the business and address all associated people matters in accordance with best practice methodology, internal compliance and legal requirements.Responsibilities of the position:Provide input into the line of business people strategy, implement and embed across business area of responsibility, along with business unit and sector strategic HR initiatives for consistency of approach.Act as champion in communicating and embedding HR strategy, initiatives, policies and procedures across business area of responsibility, business unit or sector, interfacing with other stakeholders as appropriate.Provide input to the design of HR policy, programmes, projects, methodologies and solutions in support of business' projects for greater co-ordination and consistency of approach (may be line of business, business unit or sector specific and country wide or global).Support the execution of HR policy, change programmes, strategic HR initiatives and projects across business area of responsibility (e.g. restructures, people transitions, performance management, employee opinion surveys, talent programmes, management development, succession planning etc.) (may be line of business, business unit or sector specific and country wide or global).Provide expertise in exemplary people management practice using external knowledge and business insights to identify and drive change by analysing employee trends, behaviour and employee engagement.Act as consultant and coach to line managers in relation to HR programmes, leadership framework and 'being Cavendish' principles to ensure consistency of approach to cultural aspects and development of management and HR specialist capability.Act as champion and review and promote best practice in people-related matters in support of business strategy.Accountable for influencing positive employee relations within business area of responsibility to maintain and improve business output requirements and ensure increased employee engagement.Act as champion in developing and maintaining positive relationships with line managers, business unit/sector specialists, trade unions and administrative shared services etc.Accountable for supporting line managers in disciplinary, grievance and welfare casework across business area of responsibility.Produce management information as required in support of the business decision making processes. To be successful in this position, you will need: Significant generalist HR experience, demonstrating proficiency in above accountabilities.Proven track record of delivering significant contribution to business strategy, and to implementing and embedding HR strategies in large and complex organisations.Proven success in supporting large-scale projects and complex change initiatives using appropriate methodologiesConsiderable experience in supporting line managers in disciplinary, grievance and welfare case management and in preparing and presenting at employment tribunals, and in developing line management capability in same.Demonstrable experience of providing HR support to acquisitions, business tenders and managing the transition of people in and out of a business according to TUPE legislation.Experience in employee relations matters and establishing and developing relationships with Trade Unions for ongoing positive interactions.Demonstrable evidence of developing and sustaining positive working relationships at a line management level including the ability to negotiate and influence.Evidence of cross-business networking, delivering speedy and proactive knowledge sharing.Demonstrable HR consultancy experience.Up to date knowledge of employment law.
