A Local Authority based in Shropshire is looking for a maintenance technician to join their highways team. This is a full time, temporary position for approx. 6 months and the ideal candidate will have extensive experience of working within a highways environment and experience working for/with local governments. As a member of the Highways Operations within Highways and Transport, you willsupport the delivery of the transformation programme in line with the Council's vision, values and strategic objectives.The Highways Operations team is tasked with managing the day to day activities onthe Highway and ensuring that the highway remains safe and fit for purpose. Theteam run the maintenance activates, inspections of the asset (including roads,verges, footpaths, car parks, play areas etc), the environmental maintenanceactivities such as litter, grounds maintenance and the delivery of the capital delivery programme.The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering between £23-£25 p/hour Umbrella Ltd (approx. £580 - £620 p/week NET after deductions) dependant on experience and qualifications.
