Heating Engineer

About this role:An exciting opportunity exists for a Heating Engineer in the Central Belt of ScotlandBusiness Overview:We are the largest dedicated painting and maintenance contractor in the UK both in terms of our directly employed workforce and geographical coverage.We directly employ 1600 skilled members of staff and have a projected turnover of approximately £102 million for the current financial year, all directly relating to our core business of property maintenance and refurbishment works.Whilst maintaining our position as market leader, Bell Group remains a family-owned and operated company.For additional information on Bell Group, please visit our website and social media platformsBell Group is proud to be an Equal Opportunity and Living Wage Employer.Job Purpose/Background:We are currently looking for a Skilled Trades Person to work within MOD establishments throughout the West of Scotland to carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks.Must be capable of working on own initiative and as part of a team.Key Responsibilities: •         Day to Day responsive & preventative planned maintenance works across a varied & wide range of commercial heating systems.•         Response service fault diagnosis, Repair & Renewal works.•         Maintenance & upkeep of plant room & associated equipment•         Working to relevant H&S Practices while on site.•         Ensure that any work carried out is compliant with relevant legislation and is in line with contract scope of work.Must maintain a professional manner and undertake allocated work from all levels of management.Knowledge / Experience:•         Valid Commercial & Domestic Gas Qualifications (Minimum six months remaining prior to renewal of Certification)•         CCN1 (Core Domestic Gas Safety)•         CENWAT (Domestic Boilers & Water Heaters)•         CPA1 (Combustion Performance Analysis•         HTR1 (Domestic Gas Fires)•         MET2 (Domestic Gas Meters)•         CIGA1 (Indirect Fired Commercial Appliances)•         CODNCO1 (Changeover from domestic to commercial natural gas)•         CORT1 (Commercial overhead plaque and radiant heaters•         ICPN1 (First Fix of commercial pipework)•         TPC1/1A (Testing and purging commercial installation pipework•         CONGLPP1PD (Changeover Gas to LPG)•         BEPEC (Oil Fired Burners)•         Previous experience & Confidence working in a service & Maintenance environment.•         Familiar with forced draught and natural draught appliances•         Experience of working on Oil & LPG systems•         Full, Clean Driving License  Rate of Pay: Negotiable dependent on experienceApplications directed to: Paul ArnottBranch:  Central Belt, Scotland
