Head of Learning & DevelopmentNewly Created RoleVANRATH is excited to be partnering with a leading FTSE 250 professional services firm with offices in Belfast, to assist with the appointment of a newly created Head of Training & Development role.This is a senior appointment for the business and will support the group’s strategic priorities by ensuring that organisational learning is relevant, fit for purpose and ultimately links into business strategy across all levels.The Head of L&D will lead, develop, and manage the training needs for all employees within the group, ensuring a culture of high engagement and performance.The RoleUnderstand each individual business area’s requirements and collaborate with department heads to devise appropriate trainingCreate bespoke training solutions (including digital and blended learning) by using design, delivery and analytics and then assess each programme by using appropriate KPIs for each business areaBe agile and creative when training on ‘new to market’ servicesCollate customer and partner trends and feedback to drive future propositions and training needsManage competing/conflicting prioritiesManage the Quality & Training Manager to support & motivate the Training Team to deliver against operational objectivesSupport the scoping of proposals and projects and manage the time spent by yourself and the team against these projects effectively.The PersonStrategically minded with the ability to lead on medium-sized projects and support colleagues on the delivery of more complex briefs.An advocate for a culture of continuous improvement and feedback and can embed T&C frameworks within a sales and service environment to support this cultureFamiliar with `learning design theory' and `collective and social learning theory’Able to source, create and facilitate experiential learning (including leadership and interpersonal skills) for senior colleaguesAble to curate and create innovative learning programmes including virtual, social and micro-learningAble to work independently with high levels of ambiguity and do not require constant supervisionComfortable managing various stakeholders across the business and have good influencing skills when required On offer is competitive base salary, bonus, strong benefits package and the opportunity to shape the group training function for a FTSE 250 firm.To discuss your next HR-related career move, speak with Richard McFarland (Assoc.
