The School of the Arts wishes to appoint a Head of Department and Chair in Architecture of appropriate experience, leadership ability and international stature. The successful candidate is likely to have professional qualifications in Architecture (RIBA/ARB or equivalent). Suitable applicants with qualifications in construction and structural engineering or architectural history who have extensive experience in a professional and/or academic setting will also be considered. The appointee will have a PhD in the field of architecture and/or the built environment (not including planning).As the Head of Department, working alongside the Dean of the School of the Arts you will be an active member of the School Management Team and will provide academic leadership in contributing to the strategic plan and annual operation.
