Job Category: Construction Job Location: Walsall, West Midlands (County), United Kingdom Flat Roofing Estimator *Urgently Needed* Novax recruitment are currently looking for an experienced/senior Estimator on behalf of one of our clients. Working closely with their commercial team you will be responsible for producing accurate estimates / submission of tenders as well as expanding their current client base. The role will suit a well organised and motivated individual who is approachable and well-mannered with a proven track record of securing Business. You will require a firm grounding in the roofing industry and an experience of Single Ply, Hot Melt and Felt roofing systems. The role has come about due to a high demand in our clients services with a number of new contracts recently secured. Key Duties Populating Bills of Quantities/ producing take offs Producing/ Submitting tenders Negotiating/ securing projects Liaise with suppliers to material/ plant quotations Generating opportunities with new clients as well as ensuring current clients remain satisfied Responding to/ producing emails Accurately producing Materials and plant orders Reconciling material orders and purchase invoicesKey Skills and Qualities Minimum 2 years Estimating experience Knowledge of Single ply, Hot Melt and Felt roof systems Well-motivated and a desire for continuous development Personal attributes- self-motivated, desire to progress, proactive, intelligent, well organised, calm and professional Computer literacy- experience of MS Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) Well organised and able to work independently and on own initiative Accurate and attention to detail Good written and verbal communication skills are essential Numerical and mathematical skillsHours and Work Environment The role involves working predominantly in an office environment, however, occasional site visits to our projects will be required. The role is circa 40 hours per week, with working hours to be agreed with successful applicant (between 8am to 5pm) Salary- circa £45,000 per annum
