Family Support Worker

Provide vital support to Troubled Families across Hampshire We are recruiting 2 new Children and Family Support Workers to provide support to our Early Help services across our districts. The posts will be funded via the Supporting (Troubled) Families Programme. As part of your role, you will work as the lead professional for families who meet the Supporting Families framework requirements and provide advice and guidance to Early Help Co-ordinators/Lead professionals. You will use your expertise and knowledge of the Supporting Families Programme to support local Family Support Services (FSS) teams and maximise reward claims to the national Troubled Families Programme. You will be an excellent communicator, experienced in providing whole family support. You will have the ability to work effectively in a multi-agency environment and form positive working relationships across our partners. The role may involve some working outside of office hours to support families with morning/evening routines. Apply for a location near you! As such, and as per safer recruitment requirements, we will take up references prior to interview. The post holder needs to be able to make regular and frequent journeys throughout the day to different locations around the district and County, including remote, rural locations which are inaccessible by public transport. Occasionally they will also need to transport children, young people and their families to services and appointments.
